Laura Windmill
Laura’s passion for clay began early, sparking a lifelong journey of exploration that has taken her around the world and shaped her unique artistic voice. She has honed Saggar and Raku firing techniques, drawn to their sense of “planned randomness,” and continues to experiment with surface, smoke, and combustion effects to expand her technical range. Influenced by the colours and textures of Iceland, Canada, New Zealand, Scandinavia, and the Australian outback, her work reflects natural processes of chance and serendipity. The interplay of flame, chemistry, smoke, and heat captivates her, inspiring pieces that are visually striking and conceptually rich.
“I was lucky to find my artistic passion at an early age. I found my tribe.” – Laura Windmill
