Exhibition Terms and Conditions

We encourage you to submit works that reflect your individual style and story, as each piece contributes to the rich tapestry of our collective creativity. General Terms and conditions for all VP Exhibitions

  1. Only financial members of the Valley Potters Inc. may enter this exhibition.

  2. All artworks must be for sale and listed on the catalogue form – No changes permitted.

  3. Provenance: Artworks must be recent, original works by the artist. They may be created during a Valley Potters workshop, including alternative-firing workshops, provided the artist was directly involved in the making and firing processes.

  4. Housekeeping: You must follow the instructions in the housekeeping document.

  5. Identification: As per the housekeeping document.

  6. Delivery of work: No entries may be sent directly to the gallery. Work must be delivered to the gallery at bump-in time.

  7. Display of works:

  • Studio ceramic pieces should weigh no more than 20kg and be stable enough to be displayed on a plinth or table that is no deeper or wider than 450mm, unless the piece is designed to stand on the floor.

  • Wall art must be ready to hang and meet professional presentation standards i.e.  D-hooks and hanging wire attached at the back no more than 1/3 from top of frame.  

  • Jewellery must have a “bust” supplied where necessary. 

  • No live additions permitted e.g. greenery 

  • Valley Potters and the gallery will make every effort to follow the instructions but cannot guarantee displaying works requiring complex/ potentially risky adjustments.

8. Insurance: The Valley Potters Committee is not responsible for any accidental breakages or theft. It is strongly recommended that artists insure their own work and use secure packaging.

9. Promotion: The exhibitor shall permit photographs, social media, television or publication of their exhibits to promote the exhibition and for other promotional purposes by the Valley Potters Inc.

Tactile Exhibition - Ladder Art Space

 

All financial members are invited to enter their work in our annual exhibition.

Cost of entry: $70

 
Steps to participate in the exhibition:
1.    Pay to enter by Direct Deposit (preferred) or pay online
2.    Complete the Exhibition Entry form by Friday, 24th October 2025.
The gallery is very strict with its timeframes. No late entries will be accepted. 
To complete this form, you will need:

  • Details of your ABN or a completed Supplier Statement (below)

  • Titles, dimensions and price of your work

  • High-quality photos of your work to upload in this form

Bump In / Out Dates
Bump in/delivery of work: Wednesday 26th November 11.30am-12.30pm 
Bump out/collect unsold work: Tuesday 23rd December 11.30am - 12.30pm 
 

Online Sales
The artwork is to remain available for sale on Ladder Art Space Website until Friday March 20th.

Specific Terms & Conditions
TACTILE

  1. QUANTITY:  ONE to THREE exhibits may be entered (only one may be a set). A fourth piece may be entered if it is wall-mounted.

  2. CLOSING DATE FOR ALL ENTRIES: Friday 24th October 2025. No late entries will be accepted

  3. PHOTOS: Must be included, 1MB size or larger – refer to the Housekeeping document.

  4. ENTRY FEE: $70.00 is non-refundable.

  5. PAYMENT: Preferred Direct deposit into the Valley Potters Inc. bank account.

  6. COMMISSION: 28% GST incl. on sold artwork. 

  7. COLLECTION: Unsold work must be collected from the Ladder Art Space on 23rd December, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm.

  8. PAYMENT FOR SALES: Transfers for the sale amount, less commission, will be forwarded to the artist within 2 weeks of the gallery paying Valley Potters.

  9. AVAILABILITY OF WORK AFTER EXHIBITION: Work will be available for sale on the Ladder Art Space website. Work must remain available for purchase until 20th March 2026 (3 months after de-installation of the exhibition).
