Earthy Delights

Earthy Delights Exhibition Statement

'Earthy Delights' is the 2021 Annual Exhibition for Valley Potters Inc., and describes the range of beautiful ceramic artworks created with the wonderful and precious resource from the earth, clay.

Each artist derives inspiration for their work from different places, such as their surroundings, their loves, their passions and their imagination. As each pair of hands has different experiences and works with the malleable clay in their own way, each piece is unique and holds a piece of the artists DNA and soul within it.

This exhibition is made up of the works of several artists comprising of sculptural, functional and decorative pieces on display. These are made and fired using various techniques, such as hand building, wheel throwing, primitive firing, gas or electric firing.

Valley Potters Inc. began in 1978 and have drawn members from across Victoria of varying backgrounds, ages and experience. They exhibit and hold workshops throughout the year, which all members are welcome to participate in.

It is a true pleasure to showcase the collection of so many talented local ceramic artists and their 'Earthy Delights'.
